On January 31st, after two days of fierce competition, the Chinese team won the championship with the first place in overall results! In terms of individual awards, Yang Xiongsen won the gold medal. Zhu Yufei won the silver medal.
"I have been so excited after knowing I won, because I can't believe I can get this championship trophy. I am a Cantonese, but during this competition, I did not use the ingredients that can represent my hometown. I increased the proportion of yeast dough in the entire art bread, according to the requirements of the competition. The deficiency of my work is that the cut surface of the dough is not smooth enough. For the art bread of the Chinese Taiwan team, I personally feel that they did better in the color matching, making the theme is more prominent, and more three-dimensional. When making the French bread, European players focused more on the taste rather than the shape", Yang Xiongsen said after he won the champion.
"From the domestic trials of in November last year to the training and then to France, in three months, without much experience of the competition, we can win the championship and defeat the bread power of Germany not only because of our own efforts but also the efforts of the whole team. The 17-day closed training at the Angel Yeast Technology Center in Shanghai in January was very important for training the cooperation between me and our teammates."
"I am very thankful for Mr. Liao Jinzhong and Madame Leng Jianxin of Angel Yeast Company. During the game, they take care of us in every possible way. They also try their best to relieve our pressure. In addition, I would like to thank my school. I can not make these achievements without the cultivating of my school. The championship is just the beginning! There is still a long way to go! I will work hard and strive for even greater achievements!"
