On August 22, 2023, Yichang Tea Group participated in the 2023 World Tea Expo held in Las Vegas, United States. The expo took place from March 27th to March 29th, with the exhibition running on the 28th and 29th, attracting nearly 100 exhibitors from around the world.

The World Tea Expo is recognised asone of the largest tea industry exhibitions in the United States. The expo primarily caters to tea rooms and consumers and is held in conjunction with the Bar and Restaurant expos, with tea being an important segment of the event. It is understood that there are relatively few professional tea expos in the United States, and tea elements are also less prevalent in mainstream coffee expos. Therefore, this expo has become a significant focal point for the tea industry.

As one of the exhibitors at this tea expo, Yichang Tea Group joined other tea suppliers and retailers targeting end consumers to showcase their latest products and innovations. Domestic exhibitors included Zhe Tea Group, Hunan Tea Group, and tea companies from Fujian and Hunan.

Although tea has a long history and market foundation in the US market, it is still in the development and nurturing stage. Currently, tea bags and loose tea leaves remain the mainstream products, while loose-leaf tea and tea pearls have limited audiences in the local market. However, powdered tea, especially instant tea powder and matcha, will become hotspots in the market. Powdered tea is not confined to the tea market alone but also finds wide recognition in the food, beverage, health, and baking industries. The instant beverage market is still growing rapidly, and the development of tea beverages is worth continuous attention. Additionally, there is some demand in the health beverage market for zero-caffeine and low-caffeine products.

At the tea expo, mainstream tea types represented by floral tea, black tea, green tea, and matcha garnered significant attention. Green tea is primarily imported from China, while black tea relies on tea leaves from China and Southeast Asian regions, and matcha holds a leading position in the Japanese market.
