Tea Tree Fertiliser

Tea is one of the advantageous characteristic industries in agriculture, which has made important contribution to the adjustment of agricultural structure and the increase of farmers' income.

Yichang is an important tea producing area in Hubei Province, and tea is also an important economic source for farmers. As a cash crop for leaves, tea plucking and tea pruning take away a large amount of nutrients. Reasonable nutrient management is a necessary measure to ensure the normal growth of tea trees and the high yield and quality of tea.

Generally in pH value 4.5-6.5, acidic and slightly acidic soil, growth is good, and 5.5-6.5 is the most suitable; When the soil is neutral and the pH value is higher than 6.5, the tea tree growth gradually stops, resulting in death. If the soil is too acidic and the pH value is lower than 4, the tea tree growth is also poor. Reasonable fertilization is crucial to the production and sustainable development of tea gardens. Reasonable formula and appropriate application of fertiliser can optimise the soil structure of tea gardens, improve fertiliser utilisation rate, reduce fertiliser input cost, improve tea quality, increase the per mu yield of tea gardens, increase the weight of 100 buds (one bud and two leaves) of tea trees, advance the mining time of tea gardens, promote the growth and development of tea buds, and accelerate leaf extension. Elevates tea contents (water extract, amino acids, etc.). To ensure the soil fertility and health of tea garden is an important premise to improve the quality and yield of tea.

Nitrogen(N): It is the first nutrient element that promotes the prosperity of tea tree, increases the chlorophyll, and strengthens the nutritional growth. It is an indispensable nutrient element in the growth and development process of tea tree, and is the key factor for tea to obtain the maximum yield and the best quality. It is also the main component of free amino acids, tea polyphenols, sugars and other main quality components of tea tree.

Phosphorus(P): It is one of the important components of soil fertility and is closely related to the yield and quality of tea plants. Soil phosphorus deficiency will affect the content and proportion of other nutrient elements in the tea tree, which will have a negative impact on the growth of tea tree, thus affecting the yield and quality. Phosphorus can promote the uptake of nutrients by tea roots, and can increase the content of polyphenols, water extracts and proteins.

Potassium(K): it is second only to nitrogen in the tea plant. Potassium can affect the content of free amino acids and caffeine in many kinds of tea, and appropriate application of potassium can enhance the resistance of tea plants.

Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are a large number of elements required by plants, and also a large number of elements required by tea trees. While growing tea trees, medium and trace elements magnesium, calcium, iron and aluminum are also needed, which can promote the photosynthesis of tea trees, promote the growth of tea trees, promote the growth of roots and leaves, and improve chlorophyll synthesis.

According to the growth needs of tea trees, the formulation of special fertiliser for tea trees has been designed, and field experimental studies on special fertiliser for tea trees have been carried out. Compared with conventional fertilisation, the experimental results of applying this design formula to fertilising the field in the first round of spring tea picking have significantly increased the weight of 100 buds and the yield, both by more than 10%, and also significantly increased the free amino acid content of spring tea by more than 15%.

After increasing the freshness of spring tea and applying at the same time, the formula fertiliser has the characteristics of low phenol-ammonia ratio, which is the characteristic of making high-quality famous tea.
