They determined the processing principle of "heavy withering and moderate fermentation." By using this as the core processing technique, they produced YiHong GongFu Black Tea. Compared to traditional methods, this tea had a significantly improved floral aroma score, with increased levels of compounds like benzaldehyde, acetoin, and phenylethanol, which contribute to its floral aroma.


Furthermore, the same processing technique was applied to the ten most representative varieties with the largest cultivation areas in the Yichang region, yielding similar results.
