GroPro Aqua, rich in yeast-derived nutritional active substances such as amino acids, small peptides, β-glucans, mannose oligosaccharides, etc., has been widely used in aquaculture feed and has achieved good application effects.
The content of nucleic acid in GroPro Aqua is usually 7% ~ 12%, which is one of the most important functional components of GroPro Aqua. As a basic unit of genetic material in organisms, the nucleotide also functions as a basic unit of the intermediate necessary for protein synthesis. Studies have shown that the addition of 2.5% and 4.1% yeast nucleotides or 1.85% guanine or 2.17% xanthine to the feed significantly increased the cumulative feed intake of Oncorhynchus mykiss. The addition of yeast nucleotides to the feed, according to studies, significantly enhanced the activity of some immune index enzymes of Litopenaeus vannamei, increased its growth rate, and reduced the feed coefficient. The addition of GroPro Aqua to the low fish meal daily ration in place of the same amount of flour increased the Paralichthys olivaceus weight gain rate, specific growth rate, feed efficiency and protein efficiency by 101%, 0.39, 38% and 0.5%, respectively. Due to enzymolysis of autolytic enzymes and exogenous enzymes, the GroPro Aqua is also rich in small peptides.
The abundant nucleotides in GroPro Aqua play an obvious role in feed attraction, able to significantly increase the feed intake of juvenile Chinese soft--shelled turtles. The addition of yeast glutathione to the feed can promote the growth and development of Oreochromis mossambicus, significantly improve the specific growth rate, weight gain rate and protein efficiency of juvenile GIFT, reduce the feed coefficient, and facilitate better growth. The above studies are consistent with research results of other scholars (Table 1).

Meanwhile, the yeast cell wall components of GroPro Aqua are rich in immune polysaccharide β-glucans and mannose oligosaccharides. Studies on red snapper have found that the addition of a certain amount of β-glucans to the feed can promote its growth. The addition of β-glucans to the feed, according to studies, has a growth-promoting effect on Penaeus vannamei, and can reduce the feed coefficient. Adding β-glucans to the daily ration can also significantly affect the growth and survival rate of Litopenaeus vannamei. Studies demonstrate that mannose oligosaccharides can increase the weight gain rate and specific growth rate of Oncorhynchus mykiss, and reduce the feed coefficient. The above studies are consistent with research results of other scholars (Table 2).

In general, nucleotides in GroPro Aqua plays a role in feeding attraction, small peptides in protein synthesis promoting, and β-glucan and mannose oligosaccharide in immunity boosting for health. These functional factors work together to improve the production performance in aquaculture.
