Angel New Probiotics: Pioneering a New Era of Gut Health

Gut health is vital as it influences digestion, immunity, metabolism, and even mental well-being. A healthy gut is like a thriving ecosystem where diverse microbes maintain equilibrium. Disruptions to this balance can lead to immune compromise and metabolic issues. As an industry leader, Angel Yeast introduces three novel probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus LA15, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P16, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bi66, offering innovative solutions for gut health.

1. Lactobacillus acidophilus LA15: The Immune Guardian

Lactobacillus acidophilus LA15, found in the human gut and fermented foods, is celebrated for its acid and bile tolerance, ensuring survival and efficacy in the gastrointestinal tract.

In a study on cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced immunosuppressed mice, LA15 demonstrated remarkable immune modulation. It significantly boosted spleen and thymus indices, enhanced immunoglobulin levels, and increased the secretion of cytokines like TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-10, which are crucial for immune regulation. LA15 also restored gut microbiota balance by reducing the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio, promoting beneficial bacteria and reducing harmful ones.

With its potent immune-enhancing properties, LA15 is ideal for developing foods and supplements targeting immune support. It caters to individuals with weakened immunity, such as the elderly and those in suboptimal health. LA15 can be formulated into capsules, tablets, powders, or incorporated into functional yogurts and beverages to strengthen physical resilience and combat illnesses.

2. Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P16: The Antidote to Gut Inflammation

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P16, sourced from traditional fermented foods, produces antimicrobial substances and exhibits strong adherence to intestinal epithelial cells, stabilizing gut microecology.

In a study on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis in mice, P16 dramatically lowered the Disease Activity Index (DAI), alleviated colon shortening, and mitigated colonic tissue damage. It regulated pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β) and boosted anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10). Furthermore, P16 enhanced gut microbial diversity and balanced gut flora by increasing beneficial bacteria like Akkermansia and reducing harmful bacteria such as Helicobacter and Colidextribacter.

Given its anti-inflammatory prowess, P16 holds promise in managing inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). It can be developed into adjunctive drugs or functional foods for conditions like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Potential forms include enteric-coated capsules, oral liquids, or specialized medical nutrition products, offering a natural and safe therapeutic option to ease symptoms and enhance quality of life.

3. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bi66: The Constipation Relief Specialist

Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bi66, isolated from healthy human gut, ferments various carbohydrates to produce beneficial short-chain fatty acids, energizing the gut and stimulating peristalsis.

In a loperamide-induced constipation mouse model, Bi66 significantly increased fecal output, wet weight, and water content, shortened the time to first black stool, and improved intestinal propulsion. It also regulated gastrointestinal peptides by increasing motilin and gastrin levels while reducing vasoactive intestinal peptide and endothelin levels. Moreover, Bi66 enriched gut microbiota diversity, decreased Firmicutes, and increased Bacteroidetes and other beneficial bacteria.

Bi66's remarkable efficacy in relieving constipation makes it suitable for developing gut health products. It can be formulated into probiotic supplements for the elderly and pregnant women or incorporated into high-fiber foods, laxative teas, and functional candies to improve bowel movements and alleviate constipation.

Angel Yeast has launched three novel probiotics— Lactobacillus acidophilus LA15, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P16, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bi66 —each with distinct benefits. They bring new hope to gut health and drive innovation in the food and health industries.

Angel focuses on scientific research into the interaction between gut microbiota and human health, developing evidence-based probiotic solutions. In the future, Angel Yeast will continue to link science with gut health, offering consumers rigorously tested and reliable gut health solutions. This will help people overcome gut-related issues and protect their gut well-being.
