Lactobacillus rhamnosus is the first strain of lactobacillus to be patented and is one of the most extensively studied probiotics. It has broad applications in food processing, feed production, and medical health. In food processing, L. rhamnosus is widely used in the production of fermented dairy products, plant-based fermented foods, and functional beverages due to its robust probiotic properties. It not only imparts unique flavors but also extends shelf life and enhances nutritional value. However, the activity of L. rhamnosus is often compromised during production and storage, limiting its application potential.

In the feed industry, L. rhamnosus serves as a feed additive to improve gut microbiota balance, boost immunity, and promote growth in animals. Its application demands high stability and resistance to environmental stresses, especially under high temperatures and prolonged storage conditions during feed processing.
In the medical and health sector, L. rhamnosus is incorporated into probiotic formulations that help regulate gut microbiota, alleviate metabolic syndrome, enhance immune function, and reduce inflammation. However, maintaining bacterial viability during transportation, storage, and administration poses significant challenges for the stability and stress tolerance of the strain.

FM601 is a functional ingredient derived from glutathione-enriched yeast extract, prepared through enzymatic hydrolysis of specially cultivated baker's yeast. FM601 is rich in glutathione (GSH), nucleotides, free amino acids, and other essential nutrients. These components effectively enhance the synthesis of L. rhamnosus cell membranes, improving their permeability and integrity. Moreover, FM601 optimizes the bacterial amino acid composition and metabolic activity, significantly increasing the viable cell count in fermentation liquids and enhancing survival under adverse conditions such as high temperatures and low pH. These features make FM601 highly valuable in food processing, feed, and medical applications, improving product quality and stability while supporting the efficient industrial use of probiotics.
